What are the best tools to dominate SEO and become a recognized industry authority?

We’re so glad you asked! One of our favorite SEO authorities, Craig Campbell, shared a few of his favorite tools at a recent AW event, and we’ve collected them here for you — complete with links to get you started.

Content Creation Tools 🧰

Affiliates and marketers know that successful SEO requires high-quality content creation — and that the right AI tools can make the process easier. Here are a few of Craig’s favorites.

1. KoalaWriter

KoalaWriter is a content creation app that leverages GPT-4o and SERP analysis to create optimized content that actually ranks in search results. Features include automatic internal and external linking and an outline editor that gives creators more control over their content.

Specifically, Craig uses KoalaWriter to turn his informational YouTube videos into blog posts:

2. QuillBot

QuillBot is another AI-powered tool that does its best work as a “paraphraser” — in other words, it takes existing writing or transcripts and crafts it into clear, polished, and professional writing in minutes. QuillBot is also useful for proofreading your writing and maximizing readability, which is important for engaging both traffic and search algorithms.

3. Grammarly

Grammarly is a well-known grammar checker and plagiarism tool that you can install as a browser extension to oversee all of your writing. QuillBot and Grammarly are important hedges that can help to protect your content against being flagged as AI-generated, which can hurt your rankings.

Ranking Tools ⭐️

Creating content is only one piece of the SEO puzzle. You need to create the right content in order to rank, which means you need to understand what search algorithms are looking for. Here are two tools to do just that:

4. Frase.io

Frase uses AI to analyze search queries and generate data-driven SEO content that saves time and delivers results in seconds. The right prompt in Frase.io even provides a target word count and heading suggestions based on the goal that you provide:

5. PageOptimizerPro

PageOptimizerPro is another suite of AI-powered tools that SEO professionals and content creators can leverage to develop, optimize, and maintain high-performing content. Users receive a POP score by inputting their website address, along with a prioritized list of improvements to make for stronger performance.

Google Knowledge Panel 🧠

Craig also went on a bit of an odyssey to get verified as an SEO expert with a Knowledge Panel that appears when you Google him. (Spoiler alert: it worked.) Here’s what he used to do it.

6. Kalicube

Kalicube is a unique system that helps business leaders develop an online persona that stands out on Google.

Specifically, Kalicube tells you what websites you need to be on to gain Google’s trust, get a Knowledge Panel, and become the industry authority in your niche.

7. Legiit

Legiit is a marketplace for freelance services specifically focused on SEO and marketing services

One of the services offered on Legiit is the creation of your very own Google Knowledge Panel, which is available for just a few hundred dollars:

8. Connectively / Help A Reporter Out

Another essential factor in claiming your Google Knowledge Panel and becoming a citable industry authority is backlinks from credible sources.

Connectively (formerly known as Help A Reporter Out) is a community of journalists, public relations professionals, and content creators that offers opportunities for experts to collaborate with these groups for mutually beneficial media placements.

BONUS Tip: Content Pruning

If you look at the traffic from your website (or any website), it’s likely that roughly 80% of the traffic comes from just 20% of your pages. This is known as the Pareto principle or the 80/20 Rule, and it’s an important indicator of where you should focus your optimization efforts.

Review your website traffic to identify your top-performing pages and add new information, graphics, etc., to those pages. If you have pages on your website that aren’t performing well, consider de-indexing or removing those pages to drive more attention to your productive pages.
